In the last few years, we have seen a rapid change in the SMB market. The rise of hybrid and remote work environments led to an exponential increase in demand for cloud services, IP technologies and software-based UC applications. Due to this shift in the market, Mitel has made the decision to initiate the end-of-life process for its MiVoice Office 250 telephone solution.

But fear not! If your business is reliant on MiVoice Office 250 products, Ladybird Communications are here to help you through the transition and answer your most frequent questions. Keep reading to find out when products are being discontinued and how we can work with your business to keep you connected and ensure a smooth transition.

Which products and systems are being discontinued?

All products and systems related to MiVoice Office 250 are affected by this change. This refers to:

  • MiVoice Office 250: This includes the Attendant console, PS-1, and CT Gateway as well as line cards, trunk cards and software licenses.
  • MiVoice Office Application Suite: All parts of the application suite will be discontinued as well. This includes Phone Manager, Call Reporter, and Call Recorder.
  • Digital & IP Phones: 85xx Digital phones are also affected by this change as they are solely sold on the MiVoice Office 250 platform. (MiNET 53xx IP phones, 56xx WiFi phones, IP DECT phones, and 69xx phones are unaffected and will continue to be available.)

When will my products be discontinued?

While the end of sales periods for both MiVoice Office 250 and the Application Suite have already passed, the end of support dates vary depending on the product.

For the main product line of MiVoice Office 250, the end of technical support and end of life date is on June 30th, 2026. From now until this date, you will still be able to receive technical support and repair services for hardware still under warranty. However, there will be no more software updates during this period.

For the MiVoice Office Application Suite, the end of software design date is January 31st, 2024, which means software updates will still be released until this date. The end of technical support and end of life date for the application suite is on June 30th, 2027.
